General Studio Tips

> Monitor Levels <

The monitors should always be set to full, and the gain of the signal going to it should be controlled by the red Monitor knob.

Fader levels are set as desired for the mixes, and Master Fader should be set to 0dB. This will ensure that the Master Buss of the 2480 is working at its optimal AD/DA conversion. This will offer the best signal for monitoring and mastering.

If the Master Fader runs into the red, then back off the track channels (mix), not the Master Fader.

Also, by running the Monitors at full output, you are ensuring a more secure and constant power handling for your monitor mix.
