Image/2 track Recording

OK, here's how to
record a stereo signal, be it from a drum machine, synth,
CD player, whatever....
Plug your source into 1&2. Start it playing, so you can see the
signal in
the following steps.
Call up the INPUT LEVELS screen. Adjust your attenuators for proper
signal
level.
Press the IN1-16 Fader Group button. Press the top button above CH1. In
the
Channel screen, LINK the two channels. This step is important, and often
missed. By LINKing the INPUT tracks, your 1&2 inputs are
automatically
PANNED hard L/R for a proper stereo image. The Faders automatically jump
to 0dB, too, which is a Good Thing. Leave them there. You should be able
to see the signal in the Channel Screen, and in the INPUT MIXER levels
screen.
OK, now press the TRACK1-16 Fader Group button, press the top button
above CH1, and LINK the TRACK channels. Channels 1&2 will do the PAN
and 0dB thing, just like the Inputs did.
Now ARM Ch1&2 to record (reds blinking), press REC, PLAY, and you're
on your way!
