One
of the guys at Roland Product Support has discovered an amazing
work-around for sample rate conversion on the VS-2480
Let's say you have a beautiful 12
track, 96kHz mix and you want to burn it to CDR. Simply mix down to the
mastering room with CDR Rec Mode=Off. Then perform a Track Export of
those two tracks. This will create a stereo 24bit, 96kHz wave file.
Then create a new project in CDR mode 44.1kHz. Use WAV import to grab
the mix, and the VS-2480 automatically converts the sample rate to match
the new project!
This is also a great way to get from
one recording mode to another, like MTP to MT1, etc.
