> Importing From An Older VS Recorder <
(VS-880, VS-1680, VS-1880, etc...)

Back-up the older VS recorder's songs to CD-R and import into VS2480 via the  CDR... it's that eas! In fact just the other day I found some old material laying around that I did on a VS880 from about 1995-96 or there abouts. Found it in an old desk scratched badly with some pitting. Put it in the VS2480 external drive and presto! It works!!

Insert the old VS's  CD-R or CD-RW back-up into VS2480 CD-RW Drive.

On the VS2480:

Go to 'Project'

Then 'Project List'

Select the 'CD-RW Drive from list- Plex or QPS’.

Select 'List'

Change current drive- 'Yes'

Store Current Project if you need to. If you haven't stored the Project now's the time to select 'Yes' if the latest data in your project is stored, it's stored already select 'No'.

Waiting, waiting, waiting.....

Now you should have a list of what is on the CD-R in the CD Burner/Drive. Select the project(s) you want.

Now recover them by pushing 'recover'. A window will appear select:

"ERASE ALL PROJECTS" TO "OFF"

"ERASE ALL PROJECTS" TO "OFF"

"ERASE ALL PROJECTS" TO "OFF"

Or you will erase them if this is on and you don't want that.

Your 'Projects' should be listed, if you are ready to import them select 'OK' it will warn you with 'Recover from SCSI' 4 or whatever SCSI ID.

Select 'Yes' and it will start the process or 'No' and it will not.

You can also do this with Zip Drives.
