CD-Rack

The Roland CD-Rack is a single
space rack mount version of the VS-CDRII with a removable media bay.
These have been discontinued, but are still available on the second hand
market. On the right side
of the rack contains a bay that was to accept a removable HD tray for
SCSI drives. However, from the 2480 user's perspective, this is of
little use. Affordable SCSI drives in the size that 2480 users need (up
to 120GB) are not readily available, and the removable HD trays are not
easy to find (also discontinued). If
you own a Roland VS2480 and have a Roland CD-Rack (or are have plans to
obtain one), you can have the right bay converted so that you can use
low cost, high capacity, IDE hard drives in your CD-Rack. To
